 I have a general question about strategies against cash players who don't know tournament play as well.

Played a 4-table MTT yesterday in a home game. I was new and didn't know anyone. There was one guy who had the chip lead mid-way into it, and was muttering "Stupid!" at me and another guy who were correct in shoving a wider range when our M's were low but still high enough to do damage to anyone who called. (He was smart enough to fold without a premium hand.) I got the impression he was a cash player, since he otherwise played his hands well.

I've noticed this in casino tourneys, too, that most players have no concept of M and wait far too long before opening up their range. They also get angry when anyone starts shoving their 10BB stacks.

I can't think of any strategy to exploit this other than basic ABC tourney play. Any specific tips on ways to exploit cash players?

 These people are obviously going to be super tight with their calling ranges when you push PF, so just take advantage of that. Steal their blinds like crazy and you'll usually be able to increase your stack really nicely without showing down. When I'm playing push/fold versus live players, I spend a lot of my time figuring out which players are really tight PF and then I usually just push any two when they're in the blinds. There are some people who will call with a wide range PF when it's a small raise but when all their chips are on the line, they get unbelievably nitty and make ridiculous folds.
