Which casinos are closet to the Mirage?

The strong point in poker is never to lose your temper, either with those you are playing with or, more particularly, with the cards. There is no sympathy in poker. Always keep cool. If you lose your head you will lose all your chips.

TI is right next door. Venetian is right across Las Vegas Blvd.
I'm guessing you've not been to Vegas before? Technically, nothing is "close" except TI. The major Strip casinos are huge properties with lots of space around them. "Close" is relative. Bellagio is across the Blvd from Ballys, but it's a 5-10 minute walk. If you're Downtown in old Vegas, everything is closer. I'm lazy, I typically just budget for a couple cab rides a day. South Strip (Luxor or Excalibur) to Downtown (Golden Nugget or the Horseshoe) is a 15 dollar cab ride. Mirage to same is probably $10-12. Unless you make the guy drive the strip. Then it takes forever and costs and arm and a leg.

Those who wander are often actually lost.

Harrahs is literally across the street from the Mirage, and about 3x cheaper. Perfectly good hotel, just without a volcano/pirate show/Italian canal. Casino Royale and Imperial Palace are two other cheap-o places across from the Mirage. Never stayed at either but they are probably not so nice.

I just got back from a week in Vegas, stayed at Imperial Palace. It's "on" the strip, but kind of sandwiched between and behind two other casinos. Dirt cheap though ($50 a night weeknights, $100 on friday/saturday) and close enough to walk to the Mirange, Venetian or most other places on the central strip area.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
