Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
Decided to take my first trip down to the UKs only dedicated poker room friday night.
First impressions; nice, looks professional (compared to UK casino's anyway) friendly and easy.
I register for the £75 freezeout pretty quick and find there are only 35 entrants so far for a friday night donkaround

Cliff notes
Busted 23rd of 56 in £75 donkaround, played goot.
lost a £1000~ pot 200bbs deep at 1/2, 3 ways after getting it all in on a rainbow 2T5 flop with TT.
had a really good time, will be going first or last friday of every month from now on

Anyway, find my seat get started.

Hand 1.
1st hand of tournament (obv im placed in the BB)
3k chips, 25/50 blinds
Everyone is talking to some guy in his 30s about being in some magazine and im like hmmm who are you then?
Hes on the CO, blinds 25/50 and makes it 150, young kid in sb calls 150 and i look down and find red queens.
I make it 550, and the guy in his 30's looks straight at me, thinks 10 secs and makes if 1300.
Thoughts on tanking for 30 secs and shoving?

Hand 2.
About 30 mins later. Ive about 4750, very tight image.
Blinds have just moved to 50/100
In sb folded to me, i look down and find A9 diamonds and make it 300 without really thinking expecting to take it down. Guy on my left is probably late 20s, nice suit, well spoken and has splashed in a few pots and is down to 1800 or so; he calls.
Flop is A55, pot 750 ish.
I bet 450 he insta-shoves. I look straight at him and remark 'im tanking for 20 secs then im levelling myself into a call, what do you think?'
He doesnt move at all, and i call.
Thought process: he knows im decent enough, theres a good chance i have trash and hes entitled to insta shove any ace, but if i hit this flop i likely have an ace also. Calling puts me back to my starting stack if i lose or makes me clear chip leader if im good.

Hand 3.
Moved tables 45 minutes before, blinds 100/200, i have about 2300.
UTG, some oldish guy bearded, cheap watch, limps. has limped a lot with what i think is Ax, has a fair stack at 5k. Young kid next to him, who i thought was just a student until i saw him doing some pretty advanced chip tricks makes it 600. I remember thinking this guy was iso-raising a lot of this guys limps. I look down find A9s and shove.
History to this: about 15 mins earlier 2 people limped to my sb, i look down and see two spades and announce all in with maybe 1800 quickly. Everyone mucks back to button (young guy from hand 2 who i now have position on after earlier table breakup) who tanks and starts talking to me about how its 'just' too much to make the call. I say nothing but muck 87s face up when he folds.
Good push with A9s? think i have an image the kid will think on here and call with broadways weaker Ax.

hand 4.
maybe 10 hands later. old guy with watch limps UTG again, young guy who can do chip tricks looks at his cards and announces all in, 100/300 blinds still but he has at least 3k behind. Seems a big raise.
i look down at 55 and really really want to call this. Have about 2200, doubling up puts me back to an average stack, plus i think im solid on this being AK.
Thoughts if i called?

Hand 5.
200/400 blinds 25 ante.
Still have tight image. UTG+1 with ATs, 4.4k stack.
UTG mucks, i see the blinds will be 400/800 for the next hand, im gona lose 1200 pretty soon and be crippled, ive shoved a couple times lately and won a flip with a v good player on my left, but i did show a decent hand.
I shove and v. good player calls. Thoughts on shove? standard?

Oh yeah, and this is pretty sick.

busted 23rd from field of 50 ish.

1/2 NL
i have £380 in front of me, been playing 90 mins, i doubled up after i flopped trip 4s with A4s after closing action in a 6 way raised pot.

Im in sb with TT, blinds post, UTG straddles to £4
Folded to some young pakistani guy, seems ok for maybe 50nl online, he makes it £12 (pretty standard for the table now, but earlier we saw £30 openers and there has been some 2nl online play, great table!) 1 caller to me, and with deep stacks i call and decide if anyone wakes up preflop im happy to ship into middle. Mr Gambool, with a £1400 stack next to me calls, and UTG calls.
Flop is dynamite. 2T5 rainbow.
I look at my cards, continue to prat about with my £1 chip as i have all night and check, mr gambool checks, utg checks and young pakistani guy bets about £30. i look across at the guys to my left, mr gambool is already mucking, and UTG (again the young guy from hand 2 is looking at the board, his chips and his cards quite a lot in the 10 secs i watch him)
i raise it up to £125 total.
Young guy tanks, for ages, then says '20 secs and ill make a decision' to the dealer (i believe he has 43s/JJ here, but pretty sure 43s) he eventually shoves (about £180) and its back to young pakistani who calls as well. i ask how much he has behind and ship in a further £260 which he calls)
pot £1000~
Turn 6
River Q

Young kid whips up 43spades, young pakistani mucks KK face up and i show TT and puke in my mouth as pot is pushed toward young guy.

Dealers face was classic as i smile and say very nice hand in a plesant voice, watching the guy stack the chips.

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!
