    Default Macau Live Cash game hand 25/50 6 max

    6 handed , blinds 25 50 . Hero : UTG , villian 1 : BB , villian 2 : utg+1. Hero with 3d5d raises to 200 , whole table calls . Flop : 10d , 3h , 5c . Villian 1 leads for 400 , hero raises to 1000 , villian 2 flats , villian 1 folds . Turn 7h , hero bets 2200 , villian 2 calls , river Ks , hero bets 3800 , villian e shoves for 12800 putting hero all in , hero ???

    A friend posted this on FB. This is a live 6 max game in Macau. Hero and V2 are about 350 bb deep each. He described V2 as a decent/average player who can be a bit spewey. Hero is a young kid who still has a lot to learn about the game and is primarily a live game player. Thoughts?

    If he's not getting respect for utg raises, why the hell is he raising junk utg?

    I dont understand it either, he doesn't have strong fundamentals and is not an online player. Typical live game young players think they're balancing by raising this sort of junk UTG but get carried away with it and do it over 50-60% of the time. What line do you think he should take on the river here? Check/ fold?

    I think this river is b/f as played. c/f or c/c might be ok too, but b/c is a definite no unless we have solid reads.

    on the river, given the way the action went down, hero has to call 9k to win 15k on the river. poker stove results for 99-qq and all sets looks like this.

    23 games 0.133 secs 172 games/sec

    Board: 3h 5c Td 7h Ks
    Dead:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 65.217% 65.22% 00.00% 15 0.00 { 5d3d }
    Hand 1: 34.783% 34.78% 00.00% 8 0.00 { QQ-TT, 9c9s, 9d9s, 9h9s, 77, 55, 33 }

    he is getting 2-1 on his call on the river against this range and given the equity against opp range he is 2-1 favorite.

    thoughts?

    what im really confused about is whether betting and folding is the right move after he bet. i prefer a c/f everyday, but in this spot given that he has already bet and the equity against villains value range makes it a profitable call, should he really be folding?

    Hand 1: 34.783% 34.78% 00.00% 8 0.00 { QQ-TT, 9c9s, 9d9s, 9h9s, 77, 55, 33 }
    This range is too wide. Why the hell would villain shove 99 JJ or QQ on the river? Why would he call 77 to a raise on the flop? Throw in KT, get rid of pairs he doesn't have, and suddenly we don't have 2:1, in fact we have zero equity vs villain's river shove range, unless we know he can bluff these spots after floating twice, which comes to my initial point about solid reads. Without that information, river is a clear fold as played, there's just nothing we beat that villain can take this line with other than bluffs. Bearing in mind this is a 6-way raised pot and utg has triple barrelled, I just don't see anyone choosing to bluff this spot unless they're retarded, crazy or Greek.

    I don't know how river should be played, I'm torn between b/f c/c and c/f, I hope better players will chip in with their thoughts.

    Agree with Ong. Range is pretty narrow on the river and you have to give more weight to sets. I check fold river unless villain makes a suck bet. I'm a sucker. As played, fold river.

    missing deadlines, pissing people off, frustrating myself
    Not sure how much "decent/average" players 3b JJ-QQ facing an UTG raise. Even if they do it 0% of the time, I'm REALLY not thrilled by the time we get to the turn.

    Regardless, I think that V2 pretty much steals the initiative when he cold flats the flop donk (we both have all of the nuts in our range, and we have way more junk in there than villain does), so I think checking this turn with our entire range is probably good here. If we check turn, and villain bets, then we have an interesting discussion.

    When we bet 3 streets and villain shoves, we do not at all have an interesting discussion.

    c/f c/c this river is atrocious. think checking the turn is atrocious as well.

    raising 35s 350 deep prolly fine

    i have no clue what villian has on river. i would probably look him up if he's at all capable of bruffs.
