I'm not sure how to post this review in here, but I just returned from a week in Las Vegas, I played exclusively $2/4 limit at the Excalibur for my poker fun.

First off, excellent system for getting yourself a table. Waitlist went fast, and they announce your name over the intercom that covers the entire casino. Players were the fishiest I have seen since my days of microlimit. One girl called a bet on the river with J high, only to lose to a fish that bluff bet with a busted A high flush draw. There were two types of players that I saw in the total of ten hours of playing= fish just tossing money out, and the most passive calling machines you could ever ask for. The other would be the guys sitting down at $2/4 w/sunglasses and WPT t-shirts on that attempt to bluff-raise everything. These guys stand out quickly with their arrogance and liberal use of every poker lingo possible.
Rake is a 10% with appeared to be a max $3. I didn't check out the other casinos, but the one low limit vegas veteran (who spotted my FTR skills in about 2 hours of play) suggested that Casino Orleans was a low limit haven with multiple 1/3, 2/4, and 3/6 tables. Overall I averaged about $11 per hour at 2/4.

I played at the Excalibur a little bit this past weekend as well. Had some fun and won a few pots but I did not stay too long. The room is a little too smokey, dirty and sticky compared to some of the others I played at (MGM, Aladdin)

2/4 Limit was all that was being played when I was there.

Game was soft but 2/4 limit in Vegas (on the strip anyway) is the lowest stakes offered so there are quite a few beginners and poorer players at every poker room for those stakes. So if I am going to play 2/4 limit I usally like to go the nicer cleaner rooms but if you had no choice the Excalibur would be fine.

You can fin some sick good games and structures if you look around.

Probably the sickest was short-handed $4-$8 with a single $2 blind and $1 drop. Everyone else was seeing 75%+ of flops and I was only playing around 40% of them.
