Hey all - fairly new to FTR. I will be in LA for a seminar this weekend.... thurs - tuesday. Any advice on which casinos or card rooms to visit for playing Hold'm tournaments and/or ring(?) games. By the way, are 'ring' games when you buy in to a live game... say NL 100-300... where it is basically NL hold'm but w/ a buy in of b/t 100 & 300? Thanks for the advice ahead of time. Looking fwd to playing w/ everyone in the upcoming FTR tournys on Pokerstars 8-)

Yes. Ring game = cash game, where the chips you play are actual real money dollar values (unlike in the tournament format), and the blinds do not change.


Hustler Casino has good action and it's relatively easy to get on a NLHE table there. Check out my detailed review here:
