Calling all UK players; A few of us will be at Dusk Till Dawn poker room in Nottingham on Friday 30th May. Either to play cash games or the tournament.

Tournament is £75 + £10 FO usually about 100 heads, 6k guaranteed.
Cash games are 0.5/1 and up, with a pretty good rake for a live room.

Check out the website: http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/

If you haven't been before you'll need to register online first, also you'll need to bring passport/driving license and abide by the dress code. You can also buy-in for the donkament online.

A good time was had by all last time, so come along! Wheeeeeee

30th May, gogogogo! (Me and Badgers fo'sho so far)

Sounds like fun

Might come up for the weekend, any recommended hotels that aren't too pricey?

Last time I just played the donkament, then cash until it closed at 6am and got the first train back. Taxi stayed in a hotel though - not sure how much it cost him.

pretty gay schedule.
Ill probably be able to make it for opening time (6pm yeah? correct me if im wrong)
Ill need to coerce my boss into it, but as the Stanley cup final is approx this time ill be off most than likely.
But lastest train back is 10:22 pm so im leaving at ten.

After last meeting, is it worth me coming for 4 hrs of cash games?

Yeah opens at 6pm. Cash games were soft 0.5/1 and 1/2. If you wanted to play higher, those games probably start later on.

hmmmm, thinking back last time, the other guys got called to the tourney at 7.15, (this is after it opened at 6 tho) so i wandered upto the cash tables then, and they had one 0.5/1 game going and that was it, I think the next table to open was also 0.5/1, after that a lots others opened as all the tourney donks crashed out. That was a thursday tho, and the dealers say they're busier fri & sat obv.

Anyways, I'm gutted, I cant make it, am moving house that weekend, crap.

My car died

Probably would've been too expensive for me this time anyways... 60 quid in petrol alone is harsh.

Time to write up a proper trip report. Arrived just as £75 freezeout was starting and decided to enter as not much cash action happening. If planning on playing cash only your probably better off turning up a little later. After one level EPT winner Julian Thew was moved to my table. I went out about 2hrs in when my AQ ran into AA.
Then it was onto cash games at about 10.30pm. A new £0.50/£1.00 table was just starting. After I lost 1/2 my stack a few hands in it was clear I was at a table of a bunch of maniacs especially the mad guy on my left who was playing every hand and not folding postflop. Some people were open raising to £15 and getting 2 callers at least. I doubled back up to my starting stack against another shortie with a set then I was able to trap Mr Maniac.
Dealt KK in EP I decide to limp and Maniac raises to £6, I reraise to £20 and he calls. Flop is 26Q. I shove and he calls with 64. Overall it was an insane heater for a 4hr session.

AA twice
KK twice
55 flopped set
66 flopped set
67 flopped boat

Apart from one split with AA on TJKQx I won someones stack on all these hands. At about 2.30am the table broke up and I decided to take my £500 stack and go home. Disappointed not to see any of you guys there but at least there were not any decent players at the table.
