So a couple of the local cardrooms around here play with half blinds in their cash games. For 4/8, it's a $1 small and $2 big blinds. (But a preflop raise is a total of $6. ) It's a strange structure for sure.
What I'm curious about, is how should I adjust my strategy for the discounted blinds? I'm assuming that a 50% blind is intended to have more players play looser pre-flop, thus making more action postflop. Do I follow along with this and limp more speculative hands, even without position? Or stick to my fairly standard 17/9 TAG style? I know the answer is "it depends", but I'm curious on a general idea for an adjustment.
Thoughts?

Kess, where have you been walking into? I wandered into AZ Charlies the other day while getting my truck worked on. They were playing 4/8 with 1/2 blinds and boy it was juicy. I just watched, dreaming a seat would open for the 30 minutes I had, never did, and I walked back to the dealership.
In response to your question, I would open up a bit since your edge is greater when more ppl play. If you are significantly better postflop, why not play more hands? especially if you can get in for cheap. From what I noticed in watching that one game was everyone tended to respect PF raises more than say in a 2/4 games w/ standard blinds. In fact, i saw a few walks to raises, something Id never seen at my 2/4 or 4/8 game.
PM with these 'spots' I'd like to walk into some of these rooms.
