Post subject: Limit, NL, or SHNL....good to mix it up?

For 5 years I strictly played Limit. In the past year I've made the conversion to NL since that's where the fish are now.
After reaching (being bankrolled for) $50NL ....I realize that I'm pretty much at a stand-still. I made the entire $1,700 playing SHNL, but for a month I've been spinning my wheels. I read like crazy, but sometimes I find myself too lazy to apply my knowledge to the game. Strange huh?
My question to you guys is, do you switch it up? Is it good to swtich it up since Limit, NL (full ring), and SHNL have nothing in common basically. I feel my lack of progress isn't in the cards, instead it's simply being bored with SHNL and not playing to my full potential??? I'm getting too lazy to make reads on people and really pay attention to what's going on. I feel I should be switching games for now to spark my interest in different opponents in different games, but I don't want to get mindsets mixed up. My plan was to focus on SHNL and to not play anything else since SHNL is the hardest yet most profitable once you get really good at it.
Has anyone been through this, what was your remedy besides taking some time off? Would it be heathly for me to play some 2/4 and get back to my roots, even though the oppenents aren't nearly as profitable at Limit anymore? Just looking for some insight.
tnx

I play LHE, LO8, HORSE and occasionally NLHE. I find one game all the time is boring. Much like I find HE in a HORSE game.

I totaly agree. It depends on the reasons that you are playing.
I'm trying to learn as much about poker as possible so I try to at least experience the different types of games. I find as well that the fundamentals are all the same especially live.

Ah if that is the case then I apoligise. I didn't realize that there was a cut off point.
I assumed that if it was on the front page then it would be OK to comment. I guess I should have checked the date stamp to avoid offending people.
