Villain is an old (like 60ish) asian shortstacking reg that had gotten his stack up to around 100bbs
utg+1 open limps, Villain min-raises to 6, button calls, I call in the bb, limper calls.
4way to the flop
QJ8r
I check, utg+1 checks, villain bets 17, fold, I call utg+1 folds
HU to the turn
2
I check, villain bets 25, I call
River
A
hero?
does anyone like donking the flop or leading turn in this spot?
I dint b/c I thought villains range was pretty strong and I didnt want to get raised.
For this reason I thought my implied odds were pretty good and he made the turn so cheap...but oop sucks etc..

villain most likely has a big hand (two pair + or an overpair) so this comes down to images.
If you are seen as a bluffy player who will try and win big pots then just bet around pot on river.
If villain will never bet this river scare card no matter what he has (unless he has KT as well) then you have to bet since it is the only way for you to get value.
If villain will usually bet this river since the only hand he should be worried about is exactly KT then you check here and go for the c/r.
As far as donking flop or c/r flop, both are good plays depending on your image and the others at the table.

would lead the flop and turn and shove river.
as played i agree with chard. given he's old and asian i'd just bet pot here. with the reasoning old people hate folding to young people and asian theorem.

lol asian theorem.
but yeah I bet 60 on the river and he called pretty quickly--
didnt see what he had, but the speed at which he called leads me to believe he may have paid off a c/r.
bikes,
you like to fire 3 vs a nit whos range smashes this flop? you think he'll fold just about everything other than the nuts?

you did not give the read of nit, you gave the read of old asian
i would not fire against a nit because most of them suck at betting and will give you a good price to draw

yeah this is true, my bad...
(more complete read info) hes generally fairly nitty...hes usually alot shorter than he is now and gets it in on the turn alot when he bets the flop.
I have seen him shovel the turn and get called by middle pair and loose.
so not a super nit by any means, just doesnt see alot of flops.
