I want to by a bmw z3 roadster. My bankroll is taking too long to build on pokerstars, full tilt, or any of the sites i play at. what do you guys think about me getting a $4,000 loan to play $25/$50 high stakes ring games? I've only been playing poker for a year. (online and off) I've never played at such high stakes for ring games. I did however play high buy in sit n' go's (up to $150 some) and kept getting blinded out on the bubble. I know that since I'd be playing for a goal other than to just play solid poker and build a bankroll that this may affect me making any or a lot of money, but I think I can do it and stay focused. Any thoughts?

$25/$50 blinds. I've been playing .25/.50 limits and gotten a bankroll of $300 on pstars.

Worst idea ever. The bmw z3 roadster is lame, go for the Alfa Romeo Spider, the girls will like it more.

I love the BMW quality and I found a guy who's selling his 97 that's mint and only got 50k miles for 9,950. show pictures of the spider. Also, after wacking off and thinking about it more, i still think i will do it even though you all said it was a bad idea. If i lose my whole roll, I will be able to know if poker is really for me by testing my commitment level after the bad run...

I'm getting a $5k student loan on August 13... lets' play together and pwn all the high-rollers! It'll be great! 
Nah, I'm still a net loser at the .05/.10 tables, and need a steady job to start my bankroll off right. Don't forget that $25/50 is a lot different than $0.25/0.50.. at least I would imagine so and have read so.

Can't you read? I said a full buy-in which is $5k!!
You will be almost committed to every raised pot you play, you may win a little short term, but in the longer term you are BUSTO already.
Plus 25/50 is a little different from the donkament sakes you play now, its fairly easy to win at 50NL, but the same play ain't gunna win at $5k NL.
How about bankroll management? Most players advise between 20-30 FULL buy-ins for a level. so at 50NL they recommend that you need 1000-1500 to be adequately rolled. Plus I guess at higher levels this mayb more due to bigger swings, so for 5k NL you need at least say 150,000.
Anyway w/e, if you're going to do it do, make sure you donate to the HS FTRers by giving your screen name.

It's a crazy idea. Don't do it. Besides it being a really bad idea in poker terms, blowing possible winnings on a car is an even worse idea. Know why chicks dig guys with really cool cars? Because they know that they can AFFORD the car! If you piss away everything you have on the BMW and can't pay the cover to get in a premium club what's the use?
Please work your way up like everyone else and don't go into debt for poker.
