have living proof that dreams do come true…… I have terminal liver cancer and was thinking if i could do one thing before then end wht would it be…….. and my answer was such along shot but doors opened unbelievably. I wrte into Full tilt poker where i play online and i asked if they would forward the email to gavin Smith who is a poker pro. The email basicaly spoke about my illness and about how Gavin Smith is My Favourite poker player . I had assked if maybe gavin sould play a cash game on line with me of course he would have to come down considerably in the buy in lol. I never thougti wuld hear back from them as they get thousands of requests daily. Well i did… and turned it up a nothch…. Thyey said that they forwarded the letter to gavin and that i would be hearing from him shortly, and tha i was being invited to go play heads up with him at the River Rock Casino during the BC poker Cahmpionships. Wowzerrrrrrrrrs . I received an email form Gavin shortly there after and he want to knwo if i live d by a airpor . So he flew me out from Trail BC to Van and had a exeutive suite reserved for me at the Casino, which by the way was beautiful. I was on cliud nine needless to say. OUr heads up game was great i chatted with him like i had known him forever and he si and was so easy to be around and such a great man with a good heart. I ended up winning our match and no he did not sandbag me lol. He then got a cash game going with all the other pros , myself and my other half and a good friend that was there to cheer me on , he paid our buy ins lol. So i not only had the heads up game i had the game with tonns of prso such as tiffany-michell brad booth daniel nagranue and more woooooooo hoooooooooooo the game was awsome this one was by gavins rules teee heee, so he basically in a funny way made sure all 3 of us placed lol. My friend came in 3rd for 300 doaars i came in 2nd for 500 and colin my other half cam ein 1st for 800 and a trip back to the casino in the presidential suite for a weekend with vip tickets to any show in the cassino we choose backstage passes and more…… this is truley amiracle for sure , how often does this happen? I thanks Gavin with all my heart and soul for the best time in my life and for meeeting all the pros thai so often watch on Tv and they inspire me even more today as they all were so down to earth and a great bunch.

i was so nervous i my other half stay up till i think 4 or 5 in the morning to playheads up with me lol. We arrived at River Rock casino via limo lol and our room was on the exectuitive floor, it was beautiful i felt like a star lol. any how the head up game was on sat at 2 and i hardly slept all night. I finally was approached buy a woman with a huge smile on her face and a friendly looking fellow with her...... yup it was a fellow member of another poker community i am in that cam eto cheer me on Solarsun is her handle.
She had a bouquet of roses for me and a little stuffed kitty with pink ears and mouth lol, i knew right away it was because im tilt-a-kitty on that site so it was puuurrrrrrrfect as i wanted ot buy a stuffed kitty the night b4 and colin told me to hold off for no reason really so i did, know i know the reason lol and it was and is so cute.
Anyhow i managed to look half composed i think at the table with Gavin and i started cracking jokes and egging him on just has he was doing to me lol. He mentioned that he had gotten the cards that are his bday 3 times in a row and said darlene if you know my bday ill give you 100 bucks lol..... even after he said what his bday was i still didnt know the month just the day so i paused and solarsun whipsered lightly under her breath September so i said sept 4 th and won the hundred bucks tee heeee. I offered to give her half lol and she politely refused teee heee. thanks solarsun for helping me out there lol.
Anyhow i got the chip lead in the beginning and then i couldnt get a read on him so was getting scared lol and he got the lead. i could hear solar sun saying " be aggressive go kitty go" or somehting to that effect anyhow i was so nervous the last hand i was pretty small stacked i had AJ spades and was in the pot pretty good and gavin raised huge so i thought about it and went all in and he called..... ohhh my godddddd i didnt have a thing but a gut shot and gavin was in with the best hand im sure dont remember exactly waht it was but low and behold on the river came the K of clubs ohhhhhhhhhhhhh my goddddddddddddddd i won with a suckout lol , at least he wasnt sand baggin me and jsut giving me the game lol.
Anyhow i was being interviewed on the camera and he said "let it be known that he went in with the best" lol then he took the camera and started to interview me lol i pulled the camera man in and said a few cute things to him and on it went........ Gavin proceded to start a cash game and bought myself solarsun aka granny and colin in on the game .
The rest were all pros. gavin ended up with granny and they were playing together as he thought she rocked which she does , at the command of gavin lol he constantly changed the game rules lol im sure to ensure of our placements lol teeee eheeee solar sun came in 3rd i came in 2nd and poker orifice came in 1st we all won cash and colin won another trip to the casino this time in the presidential suite 4000 sq ft with 6 man hot tub and fireplace, back stage passes and vip tickets to a show all inclusive lol so we get to go back lol maybe we can have Granny and her hubby up to the room for a dinner lol
