 I decided to try playing live for once... mostly for the air conditioning (seriously, it's freaking hot).
So I played about a 6 hour session... oddly enough I found it easier to focus right at the end, but a lot of times a hand that I'm not in would go to showdown, and I wouldn't remember who raised pre, or what happened, even though I was trying to keep track throughout the hand.

Or like every other hand someone does something that I would immediately write a player note on online, but an hour later I only remember that there was something going on that I ought to remember, but that's about it.

Is there anything you do systematically to keep track of players tendencies? I find that easier online 8-tabling without a hud - and I'm completely cereal. I guess a lot of it just comes naturally with time, but I thought this might be a semi-interesting topic anyway.
