I was at Hustler Casino again last night. I made $440 in 3 hours playing at the NLHE table. I'll do a thorough review of the venue and the play there later, but just wanted share my celebrity sightings for now.

Dave Navarro, of Jane's Addiction, showed up while I was playing. I'd met his lovely wife, Carmen Electra, before at a Playboy party, so I had to meet Dave to complete the set. As soon as he walked in, he went to the ATM to get cash. I walked up to him right as he put his money away and greeted him, told him what a huge fan I was (I've seen Jane's Addiction play 3 times), and that he did great at Celebrity Poker Showdown. He was very cool, shook my hand, smiled at my Celebrity Poker comment and thanked me. He was seated at the other NLHE table (there were two), so I didn't get to play with him.

And then there were the pros...

Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, and David Oppenheim were playing at "Larry's table" in the back of the high stakes section with Mr. Larry Flynt himself! There were a couple more that may have been pros, but their backs were to me so I couldn't see who they were. The security guard seated near their table wouldn't let people get too close or hover around for too long. What I do know is that they were playing $3000/$6000 Limit Hold'em! Wow.

Yesterday i was playing Ivey at Full Tilt and he said he had to go because he was gong to play Larry. He went on to tell me that they always play $2000/$4000 or $3000/$6000 limit 7 stud. He said that that was the only game that Larry would play. He also said that usually it was Greenstein, Oppenheim, Flint and Chip Reese that played. I guess he was telling the truth.

Aaaahh.. so it was Stud they were playing. My mistake. I couldn't get close enough to see the cards. I just heard from someone else what the stakes were.

Damn. That is one HIGH STAKES poker game. I've never even heard of stakes that high.

Does Larry even stand a chance against those guys??

I doubt it, and that's probably why the pros are there. To take turns taking Flint's money.

From what i have heard, Larry feeds the game. It is rumored that Chip Reese won over 2 million from Larry.

With stakes like this, that's easy to believe!

At these stakes if I had the money and was good god I would play too, god it sounds like if it's true that Larry feeds the game then I would love playing in it, if your good it wouldn't be a risk at all it would be a payday. I couldn't even imagine playing that stake though, not for many years at least...

Yea, I've seen him (Ivey) at a table with Doyle B., Gus H., Barry G., Johny Chan, Chip Reese.. Believe they were playing 2-4k stud at the time... Was sitting at a table right next to him. Some younger kid next to me look over n practically flipped out.. called his friend right there and was standing up at our table in the middle of a hand telling his friend, "you won't guess who's sitting at the table next to me..."

2 million must be nothing to people like Larry Flynt. I heard he goes to casinos in Vegas and just cleans house. Putting a million at a time on blackjack. Must be nice right?
