How should the house have handled this play?
No limit holdem tournament 4 players left and blinds are 800 and 1600.
The cutoff folds, the dealer goes all in, and before the small blind plays the big blind shows the small blind his cards.
Please understand the fact that the small blind had not yet acted.
Are you saying that the dealer collects the blinds?
FYI the dealer was going to just going to ignore this move until I called for a ruling on the play and I was the player who had already folded.
One other thing that I do think has to be noted is that the quality of dealers in not homogenous and is not always top quality.
Please appreciate this fact as well:
the small blind could did not exercise and choice in seeing the big blinds cards as these were exposed directly in front of his face by the big blind.
In this tournament only 1st and 2nd place were subject to payouts. Should the card flasher be disqualified and if so does he get any of his entry dollars reiumbursed?
The Pit Boss reviewed the situation and after a couple of minutes developed this solution, He folded the Big Blind from the hand without further warnings and turned over the cards so that the dealer who was already all in could see the cards.
The small blind went into the tank and folded.
I am not sure if this is the way that this should have been resolved or if there is a spot on the net that shows how it should have been handled.
I do think that the Big Blind should have been at least have been put on notice that if this happened again it would result in a DQ.

I think they handled it fine, what else could they do? They can't fold SB's hand, it wasn't his fault. Sucks for button that SB has more information but they can't just award the BTN the blinds. The BB should have be given a warning and if he did it again then either receive a penalty or be DQed.

As I play in more live tourneys I have learned that the dealers really do need to be watched.
I also think that the dealer needed to be reprimanded for not calling a halt to play and asking for a determination or making the appropriate call on play
I have also watched them start to give pots to the wrong player. The funny thing is that they get offended when they are caught screwing up. This does not stop them from wanting tips.
