This guy here... Ball cap, sunglasses, takes forever to make EVERY single decision. I mean, can every decision be that difficult? Here's the clincher though.... when he wins a pot of any significance he actually gets out of his chair and cheers for himself.
He played quite well, and made good solid decisions. Unfortunately no one ever schooled him in poker etiquette.
I wanted to say something, but I'd never seen him before and really am not that confrontational. Eventually I changed tables because he was driving me bonkers.
How do you guys handle, or deal with, other players whose traits get under your skin?

Hide outside in the parking lot and whoop the fuck out of them imo. Just kidding obviously but idk you really shouldn't let the way someone acts affect the way you feel. I just ignore it personally. Then again, I typically try to strike up a conversation with the guys to my right and left to keep things lively and shake out the monotony of sitting there for hours on end. That way, I don't notice the moron taking 20 minutes per decision.

I say change of tables or talk to the pit boss or someone else at the table and ask if their are any rules to preventing the breach of etiquette. If worse comes to worse change seating position to out play him because those kind of people are the main targets imo.

Naturalassassin those guys are NOT the targets lol. Read the post again, he said that he was making good solid decisions. The guy is obviously a decent player so hes the kind of guy you avoid. You look for the morons that call with J4o and play any pair like the nuts.

Just because he's making good descisions doesn't mean he should be playing you out of position. You should be able to move to his left and exploit other fish at the table too. A change of position can be advantageous in many ways imo. I would probably want to keep tough players on my right anyways....
I'm not avoiding anybody at the table if I'm in position. I'm playing the table conditions If I'm going to have a tough player on my left... like the brat. I'm going to have a tougher time exploiting the table.
If I'm unable to exploit the table with him on my right I'll have to move tables. Since he is obviously so GREAT! I have to fold.

I barely understood what you were typing in your last post assassin lol. Pretty much the gist I caught was we don't want to be OOP on this guy. I can agree with that, but its not such a bad thing to be seated directly across from him on the table either.
If you can't have good position on the (hopefully your the 1st) 2nd best player at the table, you would want him directly across so you have even position on each other and no one has the advantage.

I doubt someone who cheers after every significant pot they win is a decent player.
As Fnord already mentioned, if it actually bothers you that much, call clock on him.

see, and that struck me as strange as well. He was obviously new to B&M poker, but had probably played a bunch on-line and watched hours of it on tv. He was a decent player.
Normally, if a fish was carrying on like this I would just smile about it and wait for him to pay me off, but this guy was winning. He wasn't getting lucky either, he was making good calls, raises, and laying down some good hands (he showed).
Even more than the cheering I think it was the slow action that wrinkled me. The action would come to him, he'd pause, look at his cards, look around the table, grab 4 or 5 chips like he was gonna raise, then put them back, pause, grab some more chips, look around, and then fold.
I am being literal when I say he did this act EVERY TIME IT WAS ON HIM.
So, not only is he not giving anything away through his play, he is actually costing me money by slowing everything down.
What a jerkoff.... oh well. I hope he was just passing through.
Thanks for the input guys

Call a clock EVERY time he hollywoods. When he asks what's up, politely ask him to stop stalling so much and you'll stop calling the clock.
