Hi everyone, I hope that someone can give me a bit of good advice with the following questions.
My friend and I have ararnged a small tourney of around 30 players. The buy in is £20.00 no rebuys. We plan to start the game at around 18:00 and last anywhere between 4 and 6 hours. As we normally take part in other organised games, we don't really have any experience in organising them! I'm sorry if my questions appear petty but we want to get it right so that it will hopefully grow and become a regular event.
My question's are as follows:
How many tables would you suggest that we start with?
How many chips per person?
How many players on the final table?
Blind times and structure?
Oh yeah and most importantly....How many places would be paid and what percentage for each?
I have already had a good look through the site and other books on how to set up home games but was hoping for a definitive guide from the experts at FTR!
Thanks in advance

Roco beat me. Best site by far for home games. Blind schedules you can print. Tells you about chip counts and colours. You can set it up to whatever chip amounts you have and colours.

When i host home games, theres usually between 8-12 of us and we start with 5000 chips, 15 minute levels and it usually lasts around 3 hours, so i presume 30 people would take 5-6 hours or so. Pay top 3.
25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200, 150/300, 200/400 etc.

30+/- people = 3 or 4 tables either 10, 9 or 8 at each.
I would pay the Top 4or5 with 30 peeps.
also go to http://www.pokerroom.com/promos/poke...organizer.html
This is an awesome little set up tool especially if you have a laptop!!
Good luck, and make sure there are no cry babies at your game!
