I have a home game tonight. There's 6 of us and I've played the same 6 before. I know that 2-3 of them are pretty weak and there's one that's basically completely clueless. Another though is a complete nutcase and will call/lead with practically ATC.

The main problem I have is that they insist on a bullshit blind structure whereby they double the blinds if someone goes out or after an indeterminate amount of time if someone hasn't gone out. I've tried to talk them out of this but they're having none of it. It's only a little social game, so whatever.

I figure that my best play is to be aggressive wherever possible and try and build a stack early on so I'm then not caught out later in the game when the blinds fly up really quickly. The one problem with this is the ultra loose player. Guess I should try and have him sat to my right.

Thoughts?

I just play uber-tight and value-town my good hands.

fking drunk maniacs are impossible to read....last time at our game I got stacked when he had 9-4o.....WTF can you do?

The problem with being uber-tight is that the crazy blind structure kills me if I don't pick up any hands early on.

I'm obviously taking the loose player to value town every time but plenty of the others will fold faster than Superman on laundry day if I show strength.

Therefore, I wonder if it might be a better idea to try and run them over early (providing I can avoid tangling with the loose guy).

I don't see any other options in this type of game except for playing it tight. Wait for the good hands because they must come eventually and play them correctly.

Bluffing is useless since you described us what type of players are in the game and your only option is to be patient and wait for the goods and kill them. Don't mind the blind structure, you have to pick up premium hand eventually and that's where you'll get paid since you said you have those "calling stations" basically.

I didn't say I had a bunch of calling stations, I said:

I also didn't say that I intend to bluff like a maniac. I'm simply suggesting opening my range and increasing my aggression.
