Hello,

I just discovered this site find it to be a great wealth of information. IN a couple weeks, I am going to Vegas and will be staying at the Mirage. It will be over a weekend. I am considering playing at the 6/12 hold em game. Should I expect the players to be pretty tight. Can you offer me any general or specific advice that may assist me? Thanks
Aaron

Hi Aaron. Thanks for the props on the site. I can't give you any specific advice regarding the play at those stakes at the Mirage. My experience at Vegas casinos, however, is that the players are all pretty bad at the lower limits (2-4 up to 4-8).

I've played at the Bellagio, Monte Carlo, and Palms, and the players were all pretty poor. They played loose and passive, checking but then willing to call a re-raised bet.

Maybe review your Sklansky books, and play a tight, aggressive game against those kind of players.

I haven't played the 6-12, so I don't know if the skill level improves, but at 4-8 they were horrible at the Bellagio.

Good luck!
