Probably a lame post, but traffic has been light.
My Image is TAggy, but I've shown a couple bluffs (hey when someone offers to pay $15 to see my hand I'll take the monies, that's free cover to the nudie bar!) I have nearly $2.5k in chips.
I open :Qc: :Jc: UTG for $40 because big pots are fun.
3 players call.
~$160 in the pot
Flop is gin
:Qs: :Tc:
I bet $80 to induce action, BN bites and raises to $180
ok, timeout. BN is a regular in the game. He knows I raise lighter then just about anyone in this game who doesn't hate money and that I'll stab light. He's decided that it's fun to raise me light and float around. These are really good adjustments and if it wasn't for the fact he otherwise makes retarded decsions (and has a couple tells) I would have to make some serious adjustments. He has ~$1000, he usually only buys in for $500. Maybe he's feeling frisky today. Anyway we haven't gone at it yet today.
I re-raise to $400, he starts to hate life. After thinking for a while he asks "how much is it?" and calls the $220 more because making a mistake for that much money is a lesser evil than just swallowing his pride and mucking to his nemesis.
I decide that I'm shoving any turn card.
$960 in the pot, around $450ish behind.
Turn:
I shove.
Should I have handed him the rope instead?

I really like the shove, because one of the reasons he might be sticking around is because he has the ace of clubs. This is, of course, mitigated somewhat by our open-ended straight flush draw, but I wouldn't want to give him a free or cheap card in this situation.

I like the move. I figure he's hung himself either way and he's calling any bet from here on. So, what happens?

I feel like you've essentially hit the nuts, and since you raised before the club fell your flush is masked. I probably shove here and hope he sees the same thing. If you checked after raising pf, c-betting and reraising he might suspect something, so just open-shove and hopefully he'll call.

I prefer giving rope TBH.
First of all, him calling your 3bet should be warning signs to you that he may be on some sort of drawing hand (not that we are worried about drawing hands, just that this should be his thinking as well. Because of this, your turn shove on anything that completes the draw - looks terribly strong.
This may be a spot where villain insta ships two pair if checked to, because he doesn't want you to hit one of your 9 outs. Or, he may turn into a retard and turn his hand into a bluff.
