Where I live there are over 20 poker rooms in my area that offer tournaments daily and cash games nightly so I have a pretty ample selection on where to go however...
Is it a good idea to be a regular and consistently pwn the tables. Would people leave if they saw you play too much or is it better to be a regular so you know the competition that's coming in.

You make it sound like you pay to sign up and be a regular, then you get a special sheet with information on those around you, but have to give up a secret sheet about yourself.
Just worry about being the better player and you can pwn regulars, and n00bs alike. Nobody is going to be afraid to play you.

I'm just scared because I'm going to play my first game live in a few weeks and just want to get sort of heads up on what the differences will be. Also, is it kind of douche baggish to wear glasses at the table?

Yes, very.
Buy-in for $100 in a 1/2NL game until you're comfortable. The players are all pretty bad
