I'm going to be going to vegas over spring break Monday-Thursday, I'm staying at the Binions Horseshoe. I'm 22 and this will be my 5th trip to vegas, and 4th trip that I've played poker.
Overall, I'm pretty comofortable with everything, I considering myself a good player (but who doesn't), and usually can come out ahead.
I've played solid for 2 years, homegames, local tourneys, online, and of course my vegas trips.
My question is, I'm bringing about $300-400 for my bankroll. I want to enter a couple $30-60 buyin tourneys, and then spend the last $300 or so on Limit poker.
After some horrible bad beats agaisn't fish I've decided i'm done with 2/4.
So, What Limit can I comfortably sit and play at with 200 maybe 300 dollars for 2-3 days of play? I plan on playing super tight, agressive, sober, and patient. I'm there for the long hall.
With my play style and bankroll could I comfortably sit at like a 5/10 table?
Any advice on this matter would be appriciated..

Short answer:
No, $300 isn't enough.
Long answer:
If you don't mind blowing all of your cash, that's just fine. you really need to have 300x the big bet to ensure you won't go broke. so, for 5/10 you need like three grand. If you're ok with losing it all, go nuts. you're in vegas after all, gamble it up. Do not gamble the rent. Do not gamble lunch money. If this is all the money you have to play poker for the next 6 months, well, that's your ticket to the show. i wouldnt' waste it that way, but it's your money.
you're fully rolled for a .5/1 game, but i don't think they do anything smaller than 1/2. at 1/2 you have some small chance of going completely broke, say 15% at 5/10 it goes way way up, loosing 3 fully capped hands, and you're gone.
If you're really comfortable taking out a lighter setting the $300 on fire, you should do fine at 5/10. i suspect you'll be weak tight rather tight aggressive.
Variance happens and it will only get worse with scared money. If i were you, i'd stick with 2/4. i there is a substantial risk of losing it all, but it would take quite a few bad beats to knock out my whole roll. definitly risky, but not suicidal. $300 is 'serious' money to me. i can blow $50 bucks on video games or whatever and not feel nervous about it, $300 is another story.
here's a question to ask yourself, if you loose $150 your first night, how will you feel? would you be able to step down in limits?
Perhaps the best way to go, start small, move up in limits every day. it dosn't matter much if you go broke on the last day, you only have to kill a couple of hours. if you go broke the first night, the weekend is gonna suck.

Bring $500-$1000 and you should be ok for the $100 NL at the Excalabur or the 4/8 (1/2 blinds) at Mandalay Bay. Both are usually VERY good games.

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but I'd stick with 2/4 or maybe even 1/2 (there are a couple of those games around town, if you look). Not to mention, if you're trying to avoid bad beats I'm not sure the 5/10 game on the strip plays that differently than the 2/4 game. The tourists in those games aren't better players necessarily, they just have more money and a greater need for action. And you may actually run into a lower rung pro at that level, too, which isn't really a good thing.
I'd stick with 2/4 and just have fun. If you've read SSH and can apply it, you're way ahead of the game.

Yeah i'd recommend playing the 1,2 blinds $100 max NL for ur play style. $300-600 should easily get you thru 2-3 days based upon the way you said your going to play. Plus you can win alot more and also chase away the stupid fish with a big bet instead of just capping 2/4, 4/8 whatever you play. Plus if you find yourself caught up in a big hand i don't think $100 of ur own money is too much to risk especially if you have a strong hand. I love playing this specific NL game and you will too.

BTW, ask Radashack about $800, AA, a set and a 1-outer at the Excalabur $100NL. LMAO.
