I've played at Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Luxor is very small room but that's where I was staying. Mandalay is bigger. There are low limits everywhere that there is a poker room. The "big daddy" rooms w/ high limit games are at Bellagio and Mirage.

Sorry, I can't comment on where the fish are, probably everywhere as I was a fish when I was there. I walked past the Excalibur room and it looked good w/ lots of tourist dads who were ripe for the pickings. When I played at Mandalay I was at a table w/ a bunch of old men who were locals and all knew each other. Not fun. At Luxor, Oregon State was in town for the Bowl game and there were college people playing, much more fun and easy game.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

Mirage is good but there will be regulars there. Watch the tables for a while and take note of the guys who are playing $3/6 hold'em while waiting for spots at the $6/12 and $10/20 to open up.

Also, if this is one of your first times playing in a brick and mortar, don't be afraid to admit that you don't know something. If your skills are up to par, it can only help you to let the others think you are a fish...

Last time I went to the poker room I folded the big blind on a check. I had [, ] early that night and was so disgusted I threw it away. People explained that I didn't have to, I could have just checked, etc. But it ended up being the best move that night. People thought I didn't know what I was doing and tried to take me down with junk. I left pretty far up that night.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

I just got back from Vegas, and all the casinos are starting texas hold em rooms. With the recent TV craze and Celebrity poker matches, every casino wants some of the rake. Well I didn't even know Imperial Palace had a poker room, but they do, upstairs on 2nd floor. I played for 2 hours, and was taking in multiple hands. Play tight, and the drunks/newbies/TV watchers will easily bet into your trips, or call blinds with 7-5 offsuits. Watch the table before you sit down, its pretty easy to spot the ATM's.
