I'm getting married in May and we're planning the honeymoon for June in Atlantic City. The wife wants to be close to the beach and I want to try some live poker.
So I'm looking for some advice/recommendations on where to play; if any of the casinos have smaller ($30-$60) tourney buy-ins; if there are cheaper NL buy-in ring games ($100-$200).
We're looking to spend around $1,200 on the total trip. I know that's a pretty tight budget, but we're trying to keep this as economic as we possibly can. Thanks for any advice.

first of all, are you sure your wife is okay with you playing hours and hours of poker on your honeymoon?
there is a whole separate room for NL games at the tropicana. $100, $200, and higher buy-ins all available. there's plenty of NL going on at that level at the taj too.
i don't know about the tourneys, but the taj had one going on when i was there last month. oh yeah bally's should have daily tournaments too.
the other places to play are the borgata, harrahs, and resorts, although i think that last one only has like 3 tables and it's not 24 hours.
be sure to get a comp card wherever you play, because if you put in an average of 5 hours a day, you can get deep discounts on future stays at the hotel.

LOL, I'm not going to play that much, I just want to give it a try. And yeah, she's fine with it. She knows that I'm not going to spend all day playing poker. I may not even play during the day at all, and just wait until she's asleep to hit the poker rooms. (I'm the night out owl, up until usually 3 or 4am and can go on very little sleep and she's usually sleeping by midnight.)

I'd love to, but I won't get anywhere near that. Would it still be worth getting a comp card if I only play 1 - 2 hours a couple of days? I have no clue how they work.

Does anyone have a consolidated list of what tourneys are offered regularly at AC casinos? I know I can check each hotel site, but that is cumbersome.

Tropican has NL tournaments almost every day. Buy-ins are 50 or under with 10-15 registration. Rebuys and addons for all torunaments.
Taj Mahal has tournaments every day. Lowest buy in is Tues/Wed which is 50+15. After that it gets up to 100+20 and I think there's a 300+40. No rebuys or addons.
Sands has tourney Sun, Wed, and Fri. Buy-ins range from 20-60, with re-buys and addons.
Borgata has tourneys every day but the weekends (I think.) Buy-ins range from 40-100. There are rebuys and addons.
Harrah's has tourneys a couple of times a month. I think their smallest buy-in is 250+30. They do some WSOP events IIRC.
All of this information I compiled from the the hotel's website. I just happen to have it in a word document. The hotels give out different starting amounts for chips. When I've played at the Taj Mahal, I think it was 5000 in chips. Some are 1000.
(I couldn't figure out how to attach my document, so I summarized.)
Hope this helps.

Thanks. Actually, I checked the Trop schedule, and some of their tourneys do NOT have Rebuys/Add ons now... which is good in my opinion. I'll have to check them out.

No problem.
Actually, I just heard from a friend who played at Tropican and the tourney had no rebuys/addons, so I have to update my document.
