Hello everyone, my name’s Ollie and this is my first post, but hopefully one of many to come. I’m here as a poker fan and also as a representative of GalaCoral and I’ll be able to field any questions or queries you might have, particularly if they’re about the upcoming GCBPT.

I’ve been a big poker fan (and poker student) for two years now, so I hope to get chatting about some interesting hands and any poker tales I pick up from the upcoming Gala Tour (which I’ll be following closely).

I’ll actually be turning up to the festival events and, hopefully, having a go myself, so I hope to see some of you there. In fact, if you have any ideas about the type of content you’d like to see from the tour itself beyond bad beats, tricky hands and colourful characters, please let me know and I’ll try and get it posted on the forum.

Cheers,

Ollie

Hi,

I am going to this. Are any of the events sold out? How many people will there be roughly in each event? Which pro's will be there? What famous celebs will be there? Are there any rules for the GCBPT that are worth noting? How long prior to the start time should we arrive, please can you confirm the start times are 6pm, 6pm and 3pm respectively?

Hi Hennerz,

Thanks for this. I'll just deal with each query in order:

1) The £100 and £200 events are pretty much sold out for Edinburgh and the £500 main event is heading that way soon.

2) There'll be 120 people at the £100 and £200 events respectively and 200 people for the £500 event.

3) None of the rules are unusual, but if you'd like to have a read, have a look at the GCBPT website.

4) I can tell you that John Higgins is going to be there, which is pretty exciting! I'll update this soon though...

5) The casino opens an hour before the start time - I'd turn up as early as possible. You don't want to miss a hand after all...

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Ollie
