Well that depends on what size you're looking for. Most tables that fold still take up quite a bit of wall space on its end. Do you want a hex or hold'em style table? Check the table plans at Home Poker Tourney.com.
There are folding texas hold'em style table tops you could look into. They are space savers.

No problem. Got $100 dollars laying around (Price+S&H)? Try this out for size. You might find it cheaper if you research a little, but here's a link to start you off.

There are a bunch of table tops on e-bay. There are two types, a double fold and then a longer "tri-fold". The double fold one is going for between $25-$50 with $25 shipping and handling.
I actually just bought one of the double folds, the dimensions fit my table almost perfectly. I'll let everyone know what its like once I get it.

These table tops don't seem all that great, but I just don't have the space to build and store a nice hold 'em table. Using this will be better than just playing on my kitchen table.

i just got done talking to my friend that i help host with at his house. i showed him the plans from a table i found on Home Poker Tourney.com. he was in love, said he would split the cost of building one with me. we can store it at his house and truck it over to mine when the time comes and eventually i can buy him out of his half. getting married in two weeks and plan on starting construction on it after that. thanks for the great link fyrfytr, that site is great for the home gamer. i'll let you guys know how the table comes out.

i never really liked the cheesy poker tops that you could buy so i sorta made my own.

heh sorry image is a big large, forgot to resize before uploading. its nowhere near the level of a leather edged 1 piece table but its much easier to store and the two pieces lock in the middle. i did this before i had a miter saw too so the sideboards were eyed by hand and paper drawings.. thus explaining the multitude of wood paste in the gaps 8)
all and all it works for my 20 dollar local tourneys and has a bit of a wow appeal from first time see'ers

It looks nice... at first but after a few hours of bashing my head against that wood paneling, it'll lose a bit of its appeal to me.

Nice. I'm thinking of constructing a table top for my dining room table. It's 80X40 and light oak with a black inlaid border that's about 5 inches from the border on each side.
So what I'm evisioning is a table top to fit into the center of the border. It'll be 70X30 3/4 inch MDF. Which I will pad and cover with black felt. So basically it'll be a 3/4 raised playing surface. This way the people can use the outer border for chips and drinks. Should come out cool once the move is done, and it's constructed.

i used 3/4 mdf and i think 1/2 cheap sheeting and topped it with 1/8 (or 1/4 can remember) birch. ordered the felt off ebay. i didnt like having a real thick cushion so i found some real thin fabric backed with a little foam. only thing is using the 3/4 mdf made them pretty heavy, so taking them to other places to play is more of a hassle.

actually its 4 pieces. the felted center pieces are removable from the wood base. two window type hinges lock together to make one piece.

that sounds like and interesting setup there karsk. maybe i need to look into something like that. it's so hard to find a good quality table that is compact too.
