I play in a home ring game about twice a month. I consistantly double my stack in the first 1-2 hours and then watch it dwindle back to a slight win or slight loss at the end of the night. I really have to figure out what's going on here. (I think as the night goes on other players get looser and stop respecting my raises)

Anyway, I played in a home tourney on Friday with a bunch of guys I've never played with. $25 buy in. 750 chips to start. blind started at 2/4 and went up every hour. 4 hours later they were 50/100.

My tourney strat has been to play tight early on and get in the money. As players drop out I loosen up. I really have to thank Rippy for his heads and short handed play notes. When it got down to heads up the other guy didn't know how to play when I was raising EVERY hand. I cought a lucky card or two and walked away with 1st. THis is my first live tourney win and I owe it mostly to this site. Thanks for all the help guys.

Sorry for the ramble. It was just especially nice when the wife asked how I did (expecting to hear about a break even or slight loss) and I was able to show her the $100 that I won.

Yes. The women can be put slightly off when you flash the cash in front of them. It's almost like Kryptonite to them. Notice both are green and have a way of weakening defenses. Nice win.
