2 players are heads up all-in
player 1 turns cards over to show 2 pair
player 2 turns cards over to show trips and a '4'
somehow player 2 seems to have been dealt 3 cards!
There is some discussion and then it is reasoned out that the extra card was in fact one of the burn cards (player 2 was also dealer)
player 2 says had pocket pair at deal.

A split pot was decided on.

What's the ruling here?

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
 Officially his hand is dead, he should have declared it in the dealing, in home games it comes down to trust, if you believe he played with 2 cards and the 3rd just got in there in the showdown you can split or award him the pot
