I'm stuck here questioning myself after my session as whether or not I should have just raised less or just called. I could use some advice.
{$1/$2 }
UTG +1 raises to $7 (seemed like a weak hand)
Hero {$400+} (QdQc) raises to $20.
1 donky call in later position
1 donky call in SB
UTG + 1 calls
Flop {$75} (Ac 4s 3d)
CHeck Party
Turn (Ts)
I bet $35 Note: I would have bet more but I miscalculated the pot size.
SB{$215 behind} calls
River {$145} (Q of fucking hearts!!)
And the guy bets into me for $45.
I go all in. Pretty standard?

I would just call. I think you see a gutterball here often enough to just look him up.

Most of players would bet & c/r with TP, sets or two pairs at some point before a Q fell on the river IMO. I lean towards calling unless you are superb good in reading other players hands. BTW, i would definitely raise more preflop if i tend to 3 bet in this position.

Pre-flop is tricky and driven by table dynamics.
With so many players to act, it's extremely marginal to 3-bet big with a range like KK+/54s+ So I don't mind 3-betting for action with JJ+/AQ+ against a weak/loose raise.
I would call on the river and be happy with how I played the hand.

Seems standard to me.
I don't see two pair or a set checking this river as played.

I knew somebody would say to raise more preflop, but I felt this was the right number given the situation and table dynamics at the time.
I had also just drank a double white russian, and I had not had a drink in months, so my thoughts were a little fuzzy. I had previously thought that the board was rainbow on the turn. My specific opponent would never call with just a gut shot. When he led in to me I realised the only hand that beat me was KJ. Since I didn't think he could call with that on the turn I raised him. Ooops.
