Read and learn from my mistake.
I sat down at a juicy $1/$2 NL game at the Taj. This fishfest was 7-9 handed to every flop with all-ins left and right on TP or worse. PF raises to $17 were getting called multiway.
Within the first half hour, I got AA in the BB vs maybe 6 limpers and raised to $20. To my surprise, everyone folded except the maniac in the SB who was sitting on $400 after doubling up twice in the last 10 minutes.
Maniac puts his hands on his huge stack and threatens to push. Then he says, "Let's gamble!"
I instantly say, "I CALL."
He stops and looks at me. "You call if I go all in?"
I say, "Yeah."
He thinks a beat, then says, "In that case, I fold," and says he had KK.
OMG WTF, AUGH!! I took his "Let's gamble" to be a declaration of intent, but technically it wasn't so I couldn't hold him to it. Had I simply waited a few seconds for him to say "All in" or move his chips forward, I would have surely doubled up on that hand.
Me and my big mouth cost me $200+... STUPID STUPID STUPID.

No way he had kings. If he can pull off a semi-angle like that, he is aware of his image and should know that you'd probably do the same with jacks or queens, maybe even worse.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

No way he had KK, in position he at least flatting to set mine you and send you to the cashier. You played it well but you cant give any indication of what you are going to do. If they ask, sit there and do and say nothing. If they ask for a count, just calmly move your hands and allow the dealer to do it.
