It seems like I can get two decks of these for the cost of one deck of KEM cards. Are they up to par with the KEM's?

I love mine.... "almost" as good as KEM for better value.
If you are still playing with paper cards you will love them as an upgrade. If you already have KEM's they will work, but wont be quite as nice.

I am playing with cournered off paper cards from different casinos. I am scared to bend them so I won't have to chuck another deck out :P .
Will these last as long as KEM's? (One year a deck with weekly use)
Will these bend easier then kem's but not as easy as paper?

KEM's will last a lifetime with good treatment, so will the copags. The KEM's are a bit better... or they were before the company got bought out.. but thats for another discussion.
In your position I can safely recomend the Copags, they are a very good product for a very good price. Someday get your hands on KEM's and see if you think its worth twice as much...

Awsome review! Thank you so much for your help in this. I just got some paypal refunded because the seller didn't have the wiring harness he said he did . Looks like that money will never see my bank account :P.
I'll pick up 2 sets of copag and tell you how I like them.
Thanks again Spook!

Just had my first poker night with my new Copags. They were pretty good, all the guys liked them. I still like my KEMs more though. A little sturdier. Can't beat the copags for the price though for sure.

I just purchased a couple decks of Poker Sized, Regular Index Copags for less than I paid for my Bridge Sized, Regular Index KEMs.
After we play a night with them, I will come back and let you know how we like them.

I got my Copags (from a Canadian seller on Ebay). They came in the mail Monday and we used them in an impromptu game after wings last night.
They feel of these cards was great and I couldn't tell the difference between them and my KEMs.
The only noticeable difference is that the colors are more faded than the KEMs. The font on the 10-A is a little blockier, but it really doesn't matter.
I think the lighter colors and distinguishable font actually make the cards easier to see from across the table though, I didn't have anyone complain once last night. Usually there is someone sitting at on an end who can't see the flop and I have to move the cards towards them; this didn't happen with the Copags.
I enjoyed them very much and would recommend these cards to everyone.

Who was the Canadian seller?
I have wide sized jumbo index and love them. Got mine from a US ebayer.

The seller's name is bri1230_4.
He has lots of listings for Copags for sale, but for some reason when I click the Ebay links to view other items this seller has for sale it comes back with nothing.
What I do to see who is selling Copags in Canada is I use the advanced search function.
You can choose so many different parameters to search on, type in "Copag" as my search string and I ask the search to only bring back hits that are located in Canada. This option is about half way down the advanced search page.

I recently got some Copags and I've had KEMs for awhile. Both brands are nice because they are plastic. Plastic cards are more flexible than paper cards and they last longer. Copags are very good, they just don't have the brand recognition that KEM has.

Bear in mind that KEM's, Copags, Gemaco or ANY other 100% plastic card has it's pros and cons....sure they last longer. But, if they are marked or gimmicked in some other way to give one or more players an advantage...then they will stay in play longer.
Why do you think casinos crack open new decks so often. They don't want marks cards to stay in play. Sure they use KEM cards for poker.....but, bear in mind that even if a player cheats it does not effect the casinos percentage (Vig).....so, they don't care as much as they do with games like Blackjack, etc.
100% plastic cards also tend to be too slippery or too sticky...but, they do feel good for a short time.
I'll vote for a paper (Bee, Bicycle, Tally-Ho, etc.) deck any day.....just so I can protect myself against marked cards, etc.

Are you saying that you don't agree ? You like the idea of a merked KEM/Copag/Gemaco deck staying in play for a long time ?
I think it is interesting to expose those people who don't want to discuss these protection mechanisms so am average player can get a fair shake online or offline/home game.
Who knows...maybe I am the media, law enforcement or just a person who wants to help .... I'll keep you guessing. But, believe me ... I know tons of people in the business....so, be careful and "don't play with mother nature"
I can't believe how easy it is to ruffle some feathers.
I do have a hint....if there was really no interest in what I say or if there was no truth to it...I would probably be ignored.
It would be nice if someone could have a intellegent debate with me vs. just name slinging

Is marked cards the only topic that interests you?
I can see why the others are suspicious of you, magician. You come in here as a new member and all you have to say is "I know about marked cards. I'm going to educate you all about marked cards."
It certainly seems like you have an agenda.

Xianti,
I do understand your point of view (thinking that I have an agenda).....but, if you think about it...I started with an inocent question and was immediately attacked.
Seems to me that some of the attackers do not want this information exposed or discussed.
By the way, I am not only knowledgeable about marked cards. I will also claim professional staus with regard to false deals, shuffles, and other technqiues which hustlers use.
Bottom line is that I had a close friend who was taken...I got it on film and simply want to educate others to protect themselves. (I love cameras, they are great for protection)
There is an old saying "Those help those who help themselves"....I'm trying to help others.
I can understand being yelled at if I advertized, SPAMed, pushed a URL, etc. Meanwhile people are upset and I did not even expose anything OR advertize/SPAM...seems like poeple have a lot to hide .... why are they so nervous
I have been VERY careful to live by this forum's rules.

if you aren't playing side by side with kems, copags will seem almost identical. i have found them just as durable and most of my players don't even know the difference. i have yet to meet a person who prefers the paper cards honestly - above poster aside.
i have about 10 sets of kems, a lot of them i got used on ebay. i have recently bought copags when buying new though as (although i am not known as cheap) i refuse to pay twice the cost for kems when i can't tell the difference.
buy the copags, if you don't like em you can probably offer them up for most of your investment back...
