I saw on the COPAG website that they now make a deck of cards with the suits in four different colors. Have any of you played with these cards?
I know that it is much easier to play online (at least for me) with four colored decks, but I don't know how practical it would be in a home game. Thoughts?

A side note, Copags are great.
Never played online nor live with a 4 coloured deck. If you play with a bunch of regulars I would def ask their opinion on it before buying. I personally don't like the 4 coloured decks.

I have four decks of COPAGs, and I agree that they are excellent cards.
I just wondered if the four color deck was useful. And what about the Epoc ones, the ones that are basically all black?? Those look confusing........

They look to be the same as online poker room cards.

We once tried out the 4c deck at a home game when I was back in CA, and they got terrible reactions. They don't bother me personally, but traditionalists seem to hate them with a vengeance. One guy claimed they gave him headaches, heh. I guess I can understand that - I get terrible headaches when I read text that is printed in blue.
I've never bothered trying them again at a home game. I wonder if they would be more appreciated by the online crowd, which of course would be less traditionalist-minded. I know at least two or three people who I introduced to poker via online play who do use 4c option when playing online.
Copaq FTW, though. Love those cards.

I like the four colored deck for online playing. I can see the traditionalist point about a home game. I'd like to use them, but it may help the other guys out too.

i once lost my entire stack in a NL game played with a 4 color deck because i was sure i had a K-high spade flush... but really i only had a spade and a diamond.
the diamond was colored blue, but in the darkness of the shadow of my hand, it looked black.
i was pissed off like you wouldn't believe. will never play with a 4 color deck again, except online.
similarly, i hate jumbo index cards because the top of the 4 looks like the top of an ace and you can easily misread A4 for AA.

one problem with copags (I have a set and I love them) is they are kind of fadded. I really don't like the way the blue and the green look. Too hard to tell apart.

I bought a pack of these and green/blue are virtually identical, especially when wearing metallic aviators
I also lost my deck after first winning a tourny at Bangor bowling club, getting pissed then loosing all my winnings in a cash game to a succession of bad beats really sincerely telling my mate; sitting with a huge stack to match his JQo AI pre flop hitting straight; to "Go **** yourself" storming out. Also lost an umberella. But I had the moral victory and broke even besides the copaqs and umberella.

I have the EPOCs.
Avoid them. They're nice looking, but they actually wear out. The black starts to fade, after only a few plays. Also, they get hard on the eyes after a couple hours.

I've noticed this too. I got a set as a b-day present at the end of August. They're already as worn as any normal deck I've played with. It was a real disappointment to me.
