Just went to Rama for the 2nd time in a week... pulled two 18 hr sessions
Table waiting time varies, the first time we got there we put our names on the list, went for couple hands of blackjack and 4 guys had already sat down before us so we had to relist.
Mostly limit games, 2/4 up to 10/20 or 20/40, can't remember.
Only 1/2 NLHE, with 200 max, cash doesn't play.
The room is pretty nice, nothing super fancy, but sectioned off and nice decorations and lighting. Staff were ok. Players card available.
Regarding the players, you'll see plenty of old to older guys. Guys in their 30s-40s seem to know what they're doing, all very aggressive. Some in their late 50s-70s were just calling stations. For example, this table I've been playing on was mostly young guys except for these two old men who has been going at it for a couple hands, one got stacked and had to rebuy.
I straddled made it a live 6, 2 callers and old man made it 12, I looked at AK off, I made it to 52, trying to isolate. One mid age lady went all in for 26, the old man called, leaving ~80 behind, I cover.
Flop was 9 6 7 rainbow, I immediately asked how much was behind (I knew) before flop was dealt and pushed him all in. He thought about it for a moment and called, flips over A10 off. Totally expected. Turn was a 8 (disgusting) which made his straight and he comments on how I shouldn't be disgusted since its a 7 card game and I told him bingo was on the far side of the casino. And the lady who went all in had K10 off (gross lol).
Atmosphere is usually friendly, you get the occasional table that doesn't talk at all, but most guys will chitchat and all that. The girls also frequently came around and asked if table wants any drinks.
Overall a decent trip, I licked off my wounds and left with a healthy profit.

I've only played @ Niagara and Fallsview. Can you give me a comparison? I'd like to visit rama one day. I'd like to play 1/2 NL. Are there many tables?

I went to Rama a few weeks ago.
It's now all 1/2NL 200max, 2/5NL 500max.
