first post! woohoo!

i've recently bought a bridge set of kem cards off ebay. since i've been using bicycle cards for most of my life, i've never really had to take care of my cards (lost/bent card = buy new deck).

upon recieving the cards, i was disappointed in seeing the crappy black "double chamber" box that holds the decks. the divider between the two decks is horrible (causing the decks to side back and forth, mixing up the cards) and the actual case doesn't snap secure enough in my opinion.

when i was younger, i use to watch my grandma while she played her home games. this was a long time ago, but i can remember her putting her cards in this small plastic snap case whenever she wasn't using them. since i bought the kems, i've been desperately searching for this case. to my dismay, i've only been able to find very expensive wood cases.

does anybody know where to find these plastic card cases? or if they even exists anymore?

thanks in advance

I use a wooden card box myself. Dunno about the plastic snap-cases you're talking about.

Here's where I got mine. They're beautiful, quality hand-made and inexpensive.

Any comic book/sports card/card game shop will sell card cases.

*edit- i'm stupid, probably not bridge sized though. My bad

No you're not stupid at all. With all the different trading card games out there. There are alot of different deck protectors to be bought. It maybe a little geeky to roll up with a pokemon deck protector, but hey, they'll think you can't play. And then you can roll them for all their dough.

No that's not stupid at all. With all the different trading card games out there. There are alot of options available to protect one's deck of cards. Since my cards sit inside my chip case. I just took two cases from a deck of regular playing cards. Being slightly thicker than paper, I have to leave the jokers out of the case. That's okay though.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
i have the same KEM box. i put one Q-tip inside it before closing the cover, and that prevents the cards from sliding from one side to another. i've never had the box spontaneously pop open on me.

copag cards come with a similar box but the box has a removable tab that keeps the cards in their respective chambers. yet another reason to buy copags instead of KEMs.
