Do a search, there's lots of posts about this. Go look in the B&M forum. I should make a sticky ...
Some quick tips include not looking at your cards until the action gets to you, remembering your hole cards so that you don't have to look at them again in the hand, announcing your action before making it (eg. say "raise" and then the amount before you put your chips in), not string betting.
Have fun!

I had never thought of that, but it's a great tip! Will see action at my homegame this Friday.

When the flop comes, don't watch the flop, watch the other players and see how they react to the flop. If they immediately glance at their chips, its likely that the flop helped them and they are going to bet/call/raise.
One time I was doing this and caught another guy watching me while I was watching him not watch the flop, hehe.

(also, if you're not watching the flop, you won't react to it.)
Be polite, and courteous. Don't act like Phil Helmuth. He is a jerk and if I ever played with him I would probably punch him in the jaw. Understand that you can't win them all, and use restraint. Then, not only will you be able to play in the next tournament, but others will look forward to playing with you.

Watch your string betting. Theres some douchebags at B&Ms who seem to thrive off screaming "STRING BET! STRING BET!"
Be careful with "bet" and "check" enunciations. I was playing 10/20 lhe last to act with the nuts on the river and i said "bet" and the donkey dealer heard "check" and pretty much screwed me out of $20. I quickly learned it is better to just announce what you're going to bet, and then take as long as you want to actually get the chips out.

if you play at the lower limits the casino offers...
get ready for the 4X raise pf to be completely ineffective. you need 6-8X to get it down to 3 way action. if you want HU, you might as well go 8X+, and shove the flop as a cbet.
value betting is difficult by the river because, if you both make it that far, youre often times committed by that point.
watch the suckouts...its like a visit to the $2NL tables all over again, especially on the weekends.

LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.
Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

LHE is different. I also would have immediatly protested before anyone else made a binding action and called the floor. However, this is rarely a problem because I'm so aggressive that everyone pretty much expects me to bet and raise the crap out of any pot I'm in.
Last time someone check/raised me they commented "I learned it from watching you."

figured it wouldnt have mattered. If you make such a fuss, no ones calling your river bet anyway.

when i went to play live tournys for the first time after playing home games, the biggest mistake i made is thinking their wouldn't be that many bad players, i played 100 +10 mtt and was amazed how many bad players their were. so play your A game and make fish pay for chasing cause they WILL.
