I just played poker at my buddies house on saturday. Well i was broke so i just dealt for em. Free beer and tips how could i say no. anyways.... They use a strange rule where the person who raise at the end of the last betting round gets to bet first on the next round. Seemed very strange to me.
I thinking about how i would adjust the types of starting hands. Only thing that came to mind was to play looser. Chaser get rewarded for not raising. Anybody have any other thoughts?
Now with more Evil and a side of Hatred

That seems like a strange house rule, but to each his own.

However, on the downside, it looks like you have some control over your position on the next hand. I'm sure you can use that to your advantage. Whenever you can help it, don't bet the last round. That way you will never be in first position. (did you say first betting option or first position?)

In the same way, you wouldn't see too much betting on the river and you wouldn't see pots get too big.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

I've heard of this before. I think there are some poker games where that is a part of the real rules.
