Hey Ripp, i didn't know you could get so riled, good rant though, don't worry i'm sure you will kill her in total poker earnings, that kind of play is hardly going to be cost effective over any time period.

Rippy,

I'm surprised you don't run into this kind of player more often. Some players just can't be effectivly bluffed. Stone cold bluffing them is just throwing away money and semi-bluffing needs to be done selectivly. You just got to wait for a hand, value bet them to death and hope it holds up. Kinda annoying since in an SnG you don't have the luxury of waiting very long...

I know what you mean, I've lost a lot by trying to bluff them on the flop, the turn and the river only to be called by an underpair and it does want to make you scream.

heh, there was a player like this on a limit table the other day. 2 people were moaning to each other about it, he kept catching the river.

I was doing ok from the guy, he was calling down with gutshots sometimes they hit sometimes they missed. I think these players do well against good player because they don't realise you are betting the flush/straight. They don't see you have bet out of turn letting them know the last card helped you.

Like DB says, "If you are playing against a drunk or a bad player, you can cut out the fancy plays because you are going to have to show them a hand."
Poker is all about the long long long long long long long term . . .
