Alright I've the other similiar post in this forum, but still have a few questions.....I'm planning on going to Vegas in July, which as all of us know is when the WSOP is going on. I'm thinking it would be in my best interest to wait until after the 15th (final day) to go, seeing as how I'm going to play NL hold em. I'm figure during the time frame of the WSOP the tables will be a little bit tougher with all those "players" in town. Anyone else have a thought?
Also I've never been to Vegas but I have been told that Ballys has a decent hotel/casino. I'm not sure what limits I'll be playing but I was thinking about staying there in the hotel and playing there a good bit. Is there any benefit to staying where you'll be mostly playing? Is this indeed a "good" casino for NL? I'm guessing I'll be playing blinds $3/$6 and under. I ask about the hotel because I can stay other places ALOT cheaper (ie, Sahara).

as i understand it, bally's offers NO comps or poker room rates whatsoever. however this is compensated by the fact that the fish are unbelievably profitable there.
other hotels do offer a much cheaper room rate if you play 5 hours of poker a day in their poker room. you have to book the reservation through the poker room, not the hotel. for example, i called the monte carlo poker room last month and reserved a room for merely $49/night on july 6-7. awesome deal.

Bally's offers 1/2 NL, that's it. But the fish there will pay you big. Honestly it reminded me of playing .05./.10 on stars, the players are horrible. Catch cards and get paid (or get sucked out on.)

if you are playing these smaller stakes NL games go in early july when the series is still going on. all the "players" will be playing atleast the 5/10 NL games and up. you want to take advantage of all the fish in town to watch the wsop,

so ballys is a decent place to play for an "easy" game then?
let me ask this too....i play $3/$6 on stars and do quite well, but with work my playing time is limited. i have a week vacation so i was gonna go to vegas and play (also just to go, its vegas baby!) is there any real advantage to playing live? i was thinking it may be more profitable, but not as exciting, to just stay home and play on stars all week. i've never been to vegas or any casino for that matter so the "experience" is part of it....but i also want $$$, i'm greedy. to those that play online and in b/m, is it a 6 of 1 half dozen of the other thing or do you think one is more profitable?
