I am now a firm believer in the gospel of CHEZJ!!! I went to Caesar's by Louisville for my first B&M cardroom experience. I played $2/4 limit (wanted to play no limit but probably would have been busted out by these geeks) and bought in for $200. Within an hour and a half, I was down $160. I saw some of the crappiest play ever, and it all got paid off!!! I had two pair lose on the river to pocket 5's (which were capped, so he chased it). I had TPTK beat a couple of times, you get the picture. The best one was this guy who played 85o under the gun, raised it, and caught 2nd pair on the river. He was stacking chips left and right and cackling the whole time. Luckily I was out of the pot early on that one. He said he had lost $10K playing poker. I can believe it with some of the crap he showed down. Too bad he left. I was looking forward to getting into his pockets a little bit. Not that I didn't make my own mistakes like betting mid pair (DUMMY!! ), and trying to buy a pot when I should KNOW that these people call with ANYTHING to keep you honest. Mostly, though, I was playing good hands and staying away from aces out of position, playing suited connectors late, raising premium hands,etc. I did end up raking 3 or 4 HUGE pots before I left when my monsters hit. I made a pretty good comeback and ended up only about $40 down for the day (plus a free meal and drinks all day...) and much wiser for the investment. It was just hilarious to see these guys in action!!!! One guy came in, did not post immediately, waited for the big blind (6 or 7 hands), and I promptly took all his money in 2 hands. He waited 25 minutes to play two hands and leave!!! One time he called with nothing just to keep me honest, next time he took middle pair against my AT that paired the A....

I want to go back down there now, with the knowledge I learned, and go FISHING!!!!
