Happened to a friend of mine a week ago at the bellagio. Hero has maniac image.
Nitty old guy limps UTG with 6k stack. Hero makes it $60 OTB with AhAd, villain calls.
Flop: Js 5h 6h ($135). Villain donk shoves for eff $5000.
WTF?

No, I'm saying you don't know what his range is.
It's probably retarded and if you knew this would be a very easy spot. But there is a lot of uncertainty in both directions.
You never will have anywhere close to enough information in a live game barring tells, etc. The way you deal with uncertainty in the face of extreme aggression is going all-in with some of your better hands. Can't do this when you're absurdly deep. Maybe he built up a stack and didn't intend to be there. Still, something to think about...
