Within the last few weeks, the following cardrooms have opened up in Atlantic City: The House of Blues Poker Room at Showboat; Caesars Palace; and Bally's Wild Wild West.

This guy has firsthand reports on all of them:

The Bally's "new poker room" is actually poker table games. The poker room is the same crappy room on the sixth floor it always was.

The Showboat is miserably bad. No players, horrible dealers, bad felt.

Caesar's has potential -- right off the main flow of traffic and good dealers. This room could compete with Trop, Taj, and Borg once the crowds start coming in.
There is nothing to see here, move along.

what a bummer about bally's. i always thought it was ridiculous to have a wild west themed casino with no poker.

Bally's and Caesar's are owned by the same people, so I think they are interested in seeing how that room does before they plan any expansions at Bally's.
