I am heading to vegas for my first time next week. I have looked up some of the hotels on the net and have found some affordable tourneys and tables. Does anybody have any advice as to where I should start, where to play, how to find out all the casinos with tables, etc. I am down for 5 days and my bankroll is sitting at $4500....so I am looking at $1/2 tables for the most part.

Lowest limits you'll find on the Strip are 2/4 (Monte Carlo, MGM, Flamingo, Imperial Palace) or 1-3 spread limit @ the Excalibur.
I normally play the low limit (2/4, 3/6, 4/8) at the MGM on Friday and Saturday nights. Loose, passive, silly tables. If your roll is 4,500 and you're a solid player, consider 4/8 with a half kill @ the MGM.

If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

In a kill game, if someone wins two pots in a row (without side pots or split pots), the game's stakes double. I think how it works is that the person who causes the kill to occur has to put in double the bb before the cards are dealt, and then everyone else has to put in 2bb to see the flop (instead of the normal 1bb). After that, the game is played at double the stakes. So if you were playing 2/4 and a kill happens, it turns into a 4/8 game for that hand (and continues if the same person wins the pot yet again).
In half-kill, I'm assuming that the stakes don't increase by 100% and rather increase by 50%. So the game would play as 3/6 instead of 2/4 in the event of a kill.
