Went to a $20 buy in, 1 rebuy tourney held in columbus, ohio this weekend at a amvet building. Seems they have games every weekend in different locations. Tables were seating 12 for starters, 4 tables full. Got 40 chips for my 20 bucks and blinds started at 1/2 and doubled every ten minutes. went out at 10/20 with an AKo vrs K4o who caught a 4 on the turn.

My opinion? I dont think i'm going to play there again. The small chip amount vs the blind levels basically made it a game of pushing all in and hoping for the best. I felt it was mainly a luck type situation. But some of the money goes to charity and the guys dealing do know the game.

I see those all the time around Akron. I used to deal cards at one of them.

Check your local paper for "las vegas night" or "monte carlo"

the ones around akron/cleveland have full ring games, not just tourneys.

the tourneys they do have are $50 buyin, $20 rebuy types.
80ish people and over 1500 for first..
