$5/$10
I have over $2k luckbox loose/passive covers. Table is full of GAMB00L.
A bunch of limpers and I make it $40 from the SB with Smallest pre-flop raise I've made all night.
I think it was like 6 to the flop:
$240 in the pot. :As:
Checked through and I get a bunch of strange looks.
Turn:
I bet $100, gamb00l calls, luckbox makes it $400, I call, gamb00l folds.
$1140 in the pot.
River: :Qd:
I check, luckbox bets $800, I throw up and call.

I might be being ignorant here but why are we unhappy about this? Is is because he is passive and betting into us? I'd rather have more reads in this spot, like he's not doing this with TPTK or two pair. Why wouldn't he play AQ the same way?

He wouldn't check the flop and raise the turn with AQ.

Yeah, I agree. You're looking at deuce-5 (not likely, but possible given the family pot pre-flop) or a set on the flop or turn, and as for the sets, Fnord beats 2 of them and loses to 1 of them.
There's also a slight possibility of a bluff (hoping Fnord checked the flop and was trying to steal the pot with air), but not after Villain bets the river.

Even passive guys raise preflop with aces, especially when everyone calls anyway. A set of aces is probably not in his range. Fish love to slowplay two pair, i wouldn't be surprised if he turned over A3 or A4 with a satisfied smile on his face, expecting it to be good.

So we want to fold because he could have 52 or AA? Seems pretty unlikely imo. We beat lower sets, 2-pair, bluffs, which I think is much more likely.

I think this hand needs explaining. You're not isolating, so wth are you doing?
Then why do you bet under half the pot on the turn with 2 flush draws and a somewhat connected board multi-way, and flat the raise?

Much more likely to have 56 I'd say. I mean, I call because we have a set, but I'm not very happy at all. Loose passive isnt semi/bluffing with anything, so we're really hoping he has 33/44 or A3/A4 and chose to slowplay flop.

I can think of one reason to bet $100 into $240.
Like... if you knew that the opponent was going to reraise with A3/ A4, 33 and 44 to a small bet but would only call to a big bet. He will likely only call a reraise on the turn with a straight, or a set. You keep the pot small by calling. Calling also minimizes risk in a situation where the pot is getting large and about to get bigger.

He had 56 offsuit LDO.
As for my turn bet size, with a lot of short stacks with a big stack mixed in and no flop action I figured I'd throw out a teaser and see what happens so I could plan out the rest of the hand. Against a very loose player who checked behind the flop I think 52 and 65 are a LOT of his range here. He also is retarded and puts me on a set of Aces! So I went with a pot control line. I was soooooo close to the hero laydown.
