Monthly $340 buyin live tournament at the local B&M (fairly small room, 4 1/2 L cash games going on a Saturday plus this ~45 player tourny). About 26 players left, floorman comes over to move the player one behind the button to balance the tables. I don't remember the exact chat, but I will do my best to recall the details.
Player in the CO says "But I don't wanna go. Pick someone else."
Floorman stands there silently for a bit then says "Come on, <name>, grab your chips".
CO: "Go pick him up" (gestures at no one in particular across the table that is ahead of the BB, and makes no move to collect his chips or stand up).
Floorman looks back at the table needing a player (their game isn't holding the deck for the new arrival). He goes to UTG+1 and says "Okay I'll move you, come with me please", and moves him to a spot in middle position at the new table.
CO was playing quite loose and aggro, and had position one of the only players who'd be apt to play back at him (knew him by name), the rest of the table was tight or semi-loose passive. I had witnessed those two in a couple hands together, and in at least one hand they softplayed each other on the last two streets (each checked down trips and top pair good kicker on the turn+river). Of course he didn't want to move to the other, tougher, table.
Not a huge deal I know, but is this just one of the hidden benefits of being a regular (and presumably a regular floorman tipper) at a fairly small cardroom? I am quite sure standard practice is to move the player behind the button at this place, like nearly everywhere else. I've never seen someone refuse to move, let alone the floorman picking someone else after making it obvious who/which position he came to move.
Thoughts?

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Report him for suspected collusion.

We can take this as far as we want--in any human activity there is always a higher level to which we can aspire."

Given the exchange I saw between him and the TD, I'd probably be wasting my breath.

I'd play elsewhere and I think you should have made a deal out of it right then and there to see what happened.

I've seen a lot of BS in B&M games but this takes the cake I think.
