Should I check-raise the turn, or check-call the turn then check-raise the river? I think my betting line here was pretty weak.

I usually just bet the turn and cry if he raises.

Me too.

The way you played the turn, you could go for a river check/raise. It's been my experience that most people don't notice when a straight draw completes, and even if he does, it has to be hard for him to put you on that. If he does put you on a draw he will expect you to bet out when you hit (because you'd be afraid he'd check behind), and he will bet all kinds of hands when you check. Depends on how aware and how aggro he is I guess.
