They are not sharing strat because the games are too tough now with teh lack of US disposable incomes. If you have an edge you keep it to yourself. If you want to discuss strat it's done on skype or some other means to avoid public forums

that + mods on ftr seem to keep discussion down it seems in certain forums because hey egos rule forums so that makes ppl who could post strat not want to becuase of censorship

Didn't people mostly un-strap their penises and stop posting altogether because they feel if they're going to be giving advice, we should be happy even if the advice is vague and delivered in a pointedly condescending way?

If you're into that kind of forum, it's called 2+2 and it's at the end of the internets hall and down the stairs. I'm just saying you have options, not by any means suggesting you should leave.

While the high stakes forum is currently dry, is it not true that the BC is a relatively vibrant and lively forum in which to learn?

For those that missed it, Simpledude is referring to P4s as the mod that sucks at poker and not me.

That's not true I have had posts deleted and play what would be considered high stakes. I will however keep working on gettimg better so thanks for the tip chief

For the record, simpledude plays high stakes and is an excellent player. And he works at getting better at poker almost every day.

While he wasn't trolling in this thread, he IS a talented troll, however. It's definitely one of the reasons I like him so much

Almost everyone who is backed is an idiot for taking a backing deal, most if not all people are better off playing on their own and slightly lower as they make more money that way. Most backing deals are for mtts and alot are just because the person wants to play higher than their br allows which is moronic. I have yet to talk to someone who is backed and come out thinking that it was/is a good idea for them to be backed.

Playing on a $200BR does nothing for me. I could make more playing at $100NL for a month (backed) and be pretty much rolled for $50NL instead of hoping to be there by mid 2013

I said almost everyone, in your case yes it's smarter to get backed for one month. Begs to ask the question why do you need a stake it you are good enough/proven at 100nl and why can't you roll yourself for 50nl
