Same guy as last hand posted. Doesn't really bluff and rarely makes hero calls. 3betting 19%. Seems relatively linear, includes KJo. The times he has bluffed seemed like semi decent times to do so. But he has also taken some bizarre lines, none of which I have called so far. I have been folding a lot when I check, one time he turned a made hand into a bluff when i double lead oop and checked river.

95% of the time he checks the flop he seems to have midpair or air, and lots of times air. His flop cbet range in 3bet pots is almost all good made hands.

I really want to call but I just can't even put him on a hand that I beat. Easy fold?

Note: Bet on river is slightly over pot, he left some very odd amount like 400 in his stack.

I might not shove outright on turn, but I would probably make some sort of bet.

Would he c/r KQ on flop?

Seems like this river only makes a difference to his miracle runner with AJ or something. AJhh I suppose.

definitely 4bet preflop yo. specially against a linear range. hell, min 4bet is better than a flat call, you just need to jam money in against his range when ur in position.

i dont understand the rest of the hand really so i would bet the turn 1/3 pot or so- basically enough to get draws mostly jam/folding and to get the occasional tilt shove with like A9

def call the river now that u got there in this way, presumable if we had put him on a QQ type hand or gutter we would have made some kind of bet on the turn so it looks more like u put him on air/hearts/nuts ? against which that is a dream river
I got more flava than fruitstripe gum

Not 4betting pre was player specific here. It was an extreme adjustment but I was 4betting so many made hands that I showed down, I decided to only 4bet air against him at this juncture in the match.

In hindsight 1/3rding the turn seems better.

Right, that was my logic. However, are we just putting him on a totally random hand here?

i wouldn't call the river, seems unlikely a player like this ever continues as a bluff after taking this line

I'd 4 bet pre and fold the river, his sizing worries me. I'd also bet $1050 on the turn when checked to.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

def agree that a turn bet is pretty mandatory. u kinda turn your hand face up in villains eyes as some one pairish hand by checking, and you actually have on pair, so it allows villain to play pretty well vs u on the river by bluff / value betting well. as played, i have no idea. though as i said your hand seems to be relatively face up as one pair so he could be bluffing. you can obv be slowplaying but it is rare cuz u'd have to have a set that called flop and checked back the turn. i think river is a toss up.

another thing about turn bet being mandatory is that when u check turn bet river on a blank i think it opens u up to getting c/r too often as well. betsize should def be very small as sauce pointed out imo.

I agree that our hand is face up. I'm kind of torn though, because I don't think he'd expect us to check back AK on the turn, so he doesn't think we have that probably.

At the same time, KQ and QQ are both very much in our range, after we take this line.

I agree with max that this is a dumb spot/line to take by villain here as a bluff, so he probably backdoored us with something.
