I used to never do it. Recently I've been doing it occasionally vs. frequent 3bettors (and cbettors) with hands I think are ahead of their range, but that 4betting would turn into a bluff. Hands like AQo/AJo/AQs-A9s/KQ/KJs/JJ-99. Obviously the idea is to c/r a lot of flops, hit or not. Thoughts?

elipsesjeff is an unknown quantity at this point
I dont know if you'd want to c/r 99-JJ in these situations unless you were planning on getting them in.

I'm fairly certain you'll get a lot of "don't call RR OOP" type responses and I probably agree with the majority of these hands, except maybe AQs/o.

I notice AK/QQ isn't in your list.

Yeah, I 4bet/call with these, and 4bet/fold other stuff to balance.

in theory if you intend to play straightforwardly postflop you really can't flatcall with anything that couldn't 4-bet for value and call a shove to begin with.

In practice, however, i'm pretty sure there are certain hands where you just have to flat. Robust hands that can't 4-bet for value such as suited broadway connectors are examples of these. I think these types of hands are just fine to flat 3-bets oop with so long as you intend to make some unstandard plays postflop.

griffey24 is on a distinguished road
I've just started flatting 3-bets OOP lately too. I mostly do it MP/CO vs light button 3-bettors, and not so much from other positions. I haven't decided if it's profitable for me yet, but it definitely tests your hand reading abilities!

And yah, I think if you start flatting their 3-bets OOP more often, then we need to balance by flatting AA/KK sometimes as well.
