-I've played with villain a long time ago, but not much recently. I think he plays higher up usually, as I saw him playing 10/20 later on in the day
-He has been aggressive this session, 3-betting pretty often. He 3-bet my EP raise once on this table from the blinds with KTo. The flop was 789, he checked, I bet small, he c/r'd and called my shove
-He 3-bet my UTG raise earlier in pos, I flatted OOP, c/c J high flop and he gave up the rest of the way and folded my river lead
-He's running 34/25/3.4 over only 245 hands

I would raise and shove over a reraise. Your equity is very good vs his stack off range, but your implied odds aren't very good since you only have one out to the nuts and many outs to possible second best hands.

With Ah8h I would probably prefer a call.

I wanna be getting it in here, versus his 300bb calling range? hmmmm

I actually have no idea what an aggro higherstakes player would be willing to stack off with for 300bb's on this board. What would that range entail?

I'm not sure, maybe this is a decent 300bb stacking off range for villain.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 47.619% 45.56% 02.05% 15337 691.50 { Th8h }
Hand 1: 52.381% 50.33% 02.05% 16940 691.50 { AA, JJ, 88-77, AhKh, AhQh, Qh9h, T9s, 87s, T9o, 87o }

Yeah, this looks like a good guess, so stacking off on the flop seems perfect, right?

I guesss it's perfect, if by perfect you mean: flipping for 300bb's

I agree that shoving is best if his flop 3-betting range OOP includes a lot of bluffs, and hands that he's not willing to call a shove with. I'm just not sure how out of line players get this deep OOP, even aggro one's.

Is the fact that he's 3-betting light MORE or LESS of a reason to raise this flop?

It seems to be that it's more of a reason to call the flop, and let him at least keep bluffing if he's bluffing because I'm gonna be getting the right odds to call down anyhow?

I think the value of raising this flop comes a LOT from his 3-betting frequency (bluffing) on this board.

Alright, so I guess I should have raised this flop judging by the responses. I just wasn't sure if this was a hand I wanted to get in the middle for 300bb's But stoving it, the equity seems ok still.

You should remember that because of the board texture you almost always have at least 12 outs and are winning against higher FDs.

Raising the turn here would be stupid, you should never get credit from a good opponent... i don't think you have any other choice but call.
